Hello ladies! I am back from a fantastic weekend in Florida. I spent three fun filled days with my best friends from college. I can’t help but be depressed from their absence! After college- jobs , fiancés, and chasing those Rockette dreams (Mo!) took some us far away from one another. As exciting as this is, I can’t help but be reminded how much I miss them, especially when we get together. I can honestly say, that I have the best girlfriends anyone could ask for. As a good friend of mine once said we (my girlfriends) are “abnormally obsessed with each other”. This meaning, we can’t get enough of being together! We had the best weekend of girl talk, and catching up on each others lives. It brings a tear to my eye thinking about how much I miss the days we all lived together in one big house. We crammed eight girls into one house, right next door to a house of seven. They really were some of the best times I have had, and I will forever cherish those memories. I will especially cherish my cozy little loft room that I shared with Miss Molly! Speaking of Miss Molly, she is the whole reason we spent the weekend in Destin, to celebrate her Bachelorette Party! For those of you not familiar with Molly, she is the most adorable little Southern thing you have ever met. After college, she spent a week at the beach and met this good looking guy name Griffin. It wasn’t long before we all knew they were perfect for each other! I will never forget Molly, Nicole and I making the first trip to Oxford, Mississippi to meet this charmer. It was a great weekend, although I will leave some details out-Nicole back me up on this one! Anyways-they have made it through a move to Nashville, California, Beaver Dam, and have finally settled back in Oxford. They truly are the most sincerely in love couple I have seen! All you have to do is look at Molly to see how much she is glowing, or hear her talk to Griffin on the phone to know how truly in love she is. I hope to one day be as lucky as she is! Check out her absolutely adorable engagement video. That sweet muffin video taped the whole engagement without her knowing! He gets major points for this. Good job Griffin!

Anyways, I had so much fun spending time with all my girlfriends. I just loved being able to do Molly’s makeup before we went out, just like old times in 1307! For all of my lovelies reading this, know how much I love you, and how truly thankful I am that each and every one of you are in my life. I heard a smart girl this weekend say that it takes a lot of things to make your life completely happy and satisfying. Not one person, not one thing, but the right mix of great relationships and good fortune. I just thought that was a great way to put it, and I am so thankful for my wonderful friends, the constant support of my family, my relationship with Christ, my job, my health and my never ending optimism that Mr. Right is out there! Ok that last one kinda made me laugh but whatev, it is true am I right?! Now enough with the sappiness, enjoy some pics from the Beach Bachelorette Bash 2009!! PS I totally forgot to mention Molly’s ADORABLE white bride bikini. We got her a white bathing suit and had bride in rhinestones put on the booty. Precious. Then we all wore black bikinis. Pictures are priceless however- my camera died mid beach photo sesh, so I will have to post them later. Must get from another camera.

Random...

1. I found this lovely store, I am sure you have heard of it...DWS Shoes. Well, it is new to Lex and it is fabulous. Here is a pair I bought last night. JSimpson of course. Aren't they great for spring? I have them on with tan pants and a cream sheer blouse today but I was thinking how cute they would be with a white skirt and baby blue cardigan...thoughts? 2. I am leaving for Florida on Thursday around 2 a.m. I have not even started packing. I am currently creating an excel document for myself to pack from. I will keep this on file, and print off whenever I am traveling. Great thing to do at work am I right? Organization is key.

3. I am expecting a special delivery today...guesses on what this might be?

4. Today is Administrative Professionals Day. I feel so loved. I have received two cards and tulips. Aren't they pretty!
5. How precious is my friend Adam's niece? I absolutely LOVE babies, and this little baby is the most BEAUTIFUL baby I have ever seen. Isn't she y'all? Just look at the expression!!

Pearls, Pumps, and PONIES!

Hello all! It has been a busy couple of weeks for this Keeneland-going chic! Every year April inevitably brings about the fresh start of Spring, and in Lexington KY, Keeneland Season! Us Lexington gals and guys look forward to this magical time that only comes twice a year. I have to say that Spring Keeneland is my favorite. We had FANTASTIC weather this season, it was 70 and sunny almost every day I made it out to the track. I also read that this past Saturday was the second largest crowd EVER to attend in one day. This would explain why I had to park 500 miles away, and why I had a bloody mary spilled on my dress. (Thank you to miss tipsy 19 year who bumped into me). It has been such a fun April. Here are some of my favorite pics from the past few weekends. I had lots of out-of-town girlfriends come in from all over. We had so much fun!!

The Elle Woods Easter Egg

Sooo...

Today at work I was told that we would be having an Easter egg decorating contest. Not real eggs mind you- but an egg drawing. You were only allowed to use things that were found in the office. Luckily for me, I had some pink tissue paper, some pink ribbon, and some mini flashing lights (lights left over from Christmas of course) that helped me to create this beautiful masterpiece. Please enjoy.

It is kind of hard to see the flashing lights in the pic, but don't worry, they're there. Egg judging will commence on Friday, keep your fingers crossed ladies-a Starbucks gift card is at hand.

Note- I did feel slightly like Elle Woods-sorority girl in the workplace- when i whipped up this Little creation-but we will get into my theory about Corporate American not being ready for the smart, stylish, fabulous young lady another day.

The One Good Thing About Tuesdays...

Hello Ladies!

I have come to the conclusion that Tuesday is by far the worst day of the week. Monday is not that bad because you are coming off a fun weekend, and you get to play catch up at work all morning. There is something refreshing to me about cleaning out my inbox and creating a weekly to-do list. Anyhoo, Tuesday on the other hand is absolutely BLAH. You still have four more days of the work week to go, and Tuesday is time to get serious about tackling all of the bajillion things that you need to accomplish. Tuesdays are also usually crummy and rainy-for example- today it is a brisk 34 degrees outside and is sprinkling just enough to annoy me. It is the kind of light mist rain where you don’t really need an umbrella, but let’s get serious who wants tiny beads of rain in their hair? Not I. The only saving grace that Tuesday has to offer is that it is AMERICAN IDOL night. YAY! American Idol is by far one of my favorite shows ever, and this season is turning out to be quite fantastic. There are so many talented guys this year, and one fantastic girl. I love some Danny Gokey, Chris Allen, and Allison Iraheta. I just can’t get enough of them!

Danny is just so adorable. He is so consistently good, and it just breaks my heart to think that his wife died only weeks before his Idol audition. Love you Danny!

Allison is just fantastic. This girl is such a natural and is so gifted. Girl is only 16!! She needs to do a remake of “Alone” by Heart for sure. Love her.

And Chris, what a cutie. He is so stinkin’ cute I just want to hug him. And he has an adorable cutie wife. It should be interesting to see how this season shapes up. But I am definitely rooting for these three in the end!!

Hello Lovelies!

It has been awhile since my last post, but we will get into all of that later. It is Monday night and I am sitting here with a glass of KJ Chardonnay in my pink Lolita wine glass relaxing after a long day at work! We had a fabulous opening weekend of Keeneland-aside from the 31,000 people that also decided to venture on out to the track. the crowd was absolutely ridiculous, but the weather made it all worthwhile. We had such a fun time. My dearest friend Maureen came in for the weekend, and we had such a blast. Here is a pic of Me and Maureen at a friends bachelorette party. She is such a blessing to me. We have been great friends for over six years, and we always seem to get into the funniest situations together. Love you MO!

On another note- Let's discuss How gorgeous my idol Carrie Underwood looked last night on the ACMA's. Absolutely stunning. Not only did she give a fabulous performance, but she won entertainer of the year!! I am so proud of Miss Carrie. She gave an absolutely adorable speech and was so grateful and classy. Love. Her. Isn't she gorgeous girls!!!
