Today I would like to confess:

1. I take wine with me to unpredictable places, like my hair dresser’s and the movies. I mean what activity ISN’T a little better with a little glass of pinot grigio? Exhibit A: Last night.

2. I am slightly OCD about certain things. For example, I have to put my key in my car a certain way or I think something bad is going to happen. So weird. People have been driving my car before and put the key in the wrong way and it totally freaks me out. I usually make them stop and change it.

3. I listened to the High School Musical soundtrack on the way to work today. I am embarrassed.

4. I always ALWAYS flush the toilet with my foot. Anybody else?

5. I have a chronic, and severe crush on Zach Efron. Charlie St. Cloud comes out tonight, and I might be watching the trailer currently lusting over the scene when he turns his love interest around and makes out with her. *le sigh*

That’s all I got for you today ladies. Nothing that exciting to report this week. I can’t WAIT to hear what you have to confess!

Xoxo. Have a great weekend girlies!

Confess Here!...

Untitled

This touched my heart more than I can ever express. Please watch. I found this on my bloggy friend Laura's blog. I can always really relate to what she is saying, and I think she is an honest, and very true blogger. I really enjoy reading what she has to say. And I think that is sometimes a rare thing to find. Just wanted to let her know, that I think she is Fab. I think this is the sweetest thing I have ever seen, and it is so refreshing to see that love does endure!

God Gave Me You: Part Deux

Today I want to talk about this lady. Meet Traci. She is awesome. I have been blessed with having Traci in my life for four and a half years. She may or may not have birthed a baby boy that I may or may not have been engaged to. Yes, this is the ex’s momma. And I love her. While most of you are probably thinking, what the heck, she still talks to you? You gave her son the ring back?? What is wrong with you crazy people in Kentucky!

This past year has been hard on all of us. Me. My family. Reed. Reed’s family, and Traci more than anyone has been there to listen, let me cry, and give me amazing advice. She is first and foremost Reed’s momma, and of course hurts when her child hurts. The ability she has to understand why I had to make the choices I made, and still love me is absolutely amazing. I am so blessed to have her forgiveness, her friendship, and her love. I really don’t know what I would do without her.

Traci and I went and got drinks last night, and then Reed’s sister Jessica joined us. We had so much fun. Jessica is by far one of the funniest people I have ever met, and when you get them two together, you just laugh the entire time. Jessica also has the biggest heart. She is a tough girl on the outside, but loves more her mom and brother more than anything. There were even a few tears shed last night, it was so sweet.
I am so thankful for these two girls. I sometimes have to remind myself how lucky I am, and how much of a blessing it is for me to still have the relationship I do with these women. It could be so different, and I don’t want to take that for granted ever! I love you Traci and Jess! Thanks for always being there, and for loving me! xoxo

The Davis Family strikes again...

My family is wild. Enough said. This weekend was my cousin Jessica's wedding reception. She got married in the Dominican Republic about a month ago, and we celebrated her wedding this weekend. It was a blast. She looked gorgeous, and of course made me tear up when she and her hubby Grant recited their vows for us all to see.I have the greatest family in the world and am so thankful to be a Davis girl! You probably remember my cousins and my super hot Aunt Lucy from this post. We missed some of my cousins this past weekend, but most of us were there and we partied like we were back in Abu Dhabi. Ha. Love them! Here are some pics from this weekend.
Just trying to create some Carrie bangs, haha.
The Fam! I clearly got ahold of both my sisters' hair...see poof.

Fun, CHEAP finds!

I am a girl on a budget. I didn’t use to be, hence why I have to be now. Ha. Anyway, I hate spending a lot of money on stuff (except for jeans, purses and shoes) but tops, little dresses and accessories, the cheaper the betta! Look what I found this weekend. Super pumped about my purchases, all for great prices!

How cute is this pink lacey top? Thank you Forever21. PinkLouLou loves you.

I fell in love with this cute little necklace which also came from F21, and I found this simple little top at Express to pair with it. I just love the little flower, and the crystal-y feel.

This dress is super cute on, and I am loving the one shoulder look these days. However, are dresses becoming oddly reminiscent of 80’s prom dresses? Hmm, I couldn’t decide. But I thought what the heck it fits great.

I found these two little headbands at different stores, F21 and Kohl's I think. Yes I was in Kohl's and I will tell you why in just a second. But I didn’t realize how similar they were till I got home. Oopsie. Oh well. I like them both.

And I have one in my hair today. Exhibit A. Ok wow I just realized how big the flower is. Oh well, I love it.
And probably my favorite purchase is this: The Daisy Fuentes lace bra from Kohl's. You see I was out of town for a wedding and I forgot the bra that I had to wear with the dress {yellow dress in a few posts past} so I had to go out and buy one. It had to be nude{ish} colored, and low cut in the front because of the dress. I did not feel like dropping $50 on a Vickie's bra, as I had a perfect nude secret embrace number sitting on my bed, so I popped into the nearest store I could find and found this. I.am.obsessed.
I am very picky about bras. They have to fit well, and be supportive. Lets get serious, I have boobs and they can be extremely annoying so I have to have a good bra. BONUS-this bra is adorable! I love the lace. I love the bling detail in the center, and I even love the inside print. I may or may not have bought matching panties, also equipped with a rhinestone detail. Girls, if you buy one thing, go get yourself a Daisy Fuentes Kohl's special. My tat’s look amazing in this thing! I want a couple more! You need this bra girls. So thank you Daisy Fuentes, because of you, our girls are perkier, prettier, and a bit bling-ier.

Has anyone found any great deals/random great buys that I need to know about?? Happy Shopping ladies!

Weekend Recap

1. I'm Exhausted, and will post in numbered statements.

2. Got drinks with these gals Thursday night.
3. I met up with one of my out of town friends on Friday night and had an absolute blast. isn't he a cutie? ;)
4. Britanny's wedding was on Saturday, and I did her hair. Wish I had more pics, but it looked just like it did when we practiced here. I was a little upset that her curls wanted to fall out at the reception, but don't you worry I got her in the bathroom and fixed her up. The humidity was not being our friend.
5. I was on cloud 9 when two of the bartenders this weekend said to me "has anyone ever told you you look like Carrie Underwood?" I almost jumped over the bar to hug them both. So sweet of them to say. I was rockin my extensions, so maybe that helped. I also really enjoyed the flowers. Exhibit A.
6. I wish the weekend was 3 days. I need a recovery day.

7. I went shopping and found some great finds that I will share with you all this week... I'm pumped about my new bra. You will love also. Deets to come.

8. Hoarders is on. My guilty pleasure. I am going to curl up on the couch and indulge. Catch up with you chics later.

It's like Christmas Morning...

I seriously am SO excited that the Carrie wedding has been revealed!!!! I am obsessed. Carrie looked gorgeous, and her wedding looked unbelievable. I feel like Carrie jumped in my head and pulled out my fairy tale wedding. I mean seriously, PINK everywhere {light pink to be exact} and did you see the crystals and vintage-y feel of the reception?? There was bling hanging from the centerpieces! I mean this wedding has PinkLouLou written ALL over it. Job well done Carrie. I am usually a ‘non-tiara’ girl, but I must admit your 40 carat diamond sparkling tiara is pretty much rockin. Also, super hot reception dress. I just want to be all up in that wedding! LOVE it. Here are pics!! Thanks Mo for sending me the link, you MADE my day!

PS- I did a blog redesign for Miss Molly! go check it out! i thought it turned out super cute! Love her!!

Baby Girl L, The Prettiest Little Angel Ever!

I have to take a second and brag on my friend Emily's sweet baby. Remember Emily from this post? And this post? Well I have mentioned before that my girlfriends and I have a LARGE email chain that we constantly use, and just yesterday I got a baby girl L update that brought tears to my eyes. Baby L just turned one month old, and Emily had written out a list of things about the sweet girl in her first month. It was so sweet. I just want to squeeze her and put a large pink bow on her head and a blingy paci in her mouth. Even though she apparently hates paci's.

{side note: what baby hates paci's? my parents had to pry mine out at the age of 5, and I then learned to suck my thumb... and did so until I was far to old for it to be in any way socially acceptable.}

Here is the precious bebe, and the large bow and blingy paci Aunt Allison has made for her.

{ok so I couldn't find a pic of the exact bows I made for Baby L, but they are just like these on my twins. ps. Look how little the babies are!! they grow SO fast!}

My two favorites... MARRIED, {but not to each other}

Well My two favorites got married this weekend! Carrie Underwood, and John Krasinski. For those of you who do not stalk Carrie like I do, she married Mike Fisher, and John Krasinski married Emily Blunt. Carrie's hubby is a hottie, props to her, and I should have been up there wedding Mr. Krasinski. Whatev. I hope he's happy with the Miss Devil Wears Prada beotch. But anyways... is anyone else as frustrated as I that we cannot find pics of these weddings yet?? I could have done a better job paparazzi-ing than those photogs did. Questions I have include, what did Carrie's hair look like? What about her makeup? I NEED to see her shoes... I know she wore a Monique Lhuillier all lace gown {so what I would have picked out, actually the dress i did pick out was a Jim Hjelm all lace number, but that is a story for a different day} pretty much I just need to see her! I bet the wedding was gorgeous, and I bet the little angel looked stunning. I did find this cute pic of Mrs. Fisher and her hubby hopping on a plane to Tahiti. She looks SO happy! Loves her!
And Just for fun...

You're welcome.

PS this just in, the lovely Morgan let me know of these two shots of Carrie on her honeymoon!Click here and here for Carrie Tahiti pics!

A Polo match, and why I hate bugs.

Well Friday night I was invited by one of my girlfriends to attend a polo match at the Horse Park. Deciding to be "oh so Kentucky" I thought sure this will be fun, I've never been to a polo match. It was quite neat, and was just like Pretty Woman, minus the hookers. I didn't get to stomp divets (or whatever they are called) on the field because I was of course late, but I did have a fun time tailgating and eating some sort of awesome spicy feta dip and having cocktails. I was determined to meet an Englishmen atop some stallion horse, however no such luck. What I did meet you ask? 576,987 gnats, 3 dogs, and a couple horses. That's' right GNATS. everywhere. I am not kidding when I tell you that at all times there were gnats crawling on my arms, back, and trying to nest in my hair. I had my extensions in, up in some sort of side messy bun thing because it was dreadfully humid that day and there was no way I could wear it down. Well apparently this was prime real estate for the little pesky mother effers because I had so many gnats in my hair I wanted to scream. I high tailed it out of there as soon as the polo match was over and we went back to my friend Emily's to take care of the pest situation in my hair. It was disgusting. I have no idea why there were so many gnats but holy bug infestation I was NOT ok with it. The silver lining-at least they didn't bite. Yuck, it makes me squirm just thinking about it. Anyways, here are some pics from the night.
Chrissy trying to pick burrowing gnats out of my hair. SO gross.
What did I learn? Next time, take one of these.
