Her hair is full of secrets... yet AGAIN!

GIRLS.

boy do I have some fun things for you. I found some new hair must haves.

First and foremost, the Jessica Simpson Bump it Up hair piece. amaze. I first saw this on Raven's bloggy awhile ago and knew I needed it, but then I kinda forgot about it until I spotted it in Ulta today.

Omyword y'all. watch and learn.

Pre-fixing...

Post-fix...

If you decide you must also have, make sure you get the stylables one.

Next, this little diddy. Not as exciting as the bump it up, but hey at $20 it made my day. Also watch and learn.

I'll post some pictures next time I wear this out for ya.

Let me know if you have questions!

I am outta here for Leah Bear's shower tonight!

{ignore crap on my bed}

Short Curls What?

So. As previously discussed, I have decided to attempt wearing my hair au naturel {sans weave if you will} and short &curly like our girl Carrie Marie sometimes rocks out.

The first attempt was a MAJAH fail.

Exhibit A:

And yes, that is serious. Needless to say, I ended up putting my hair in a ponytail.

So after further contemplation, I realized two things.
1. My hair is special, and just never gonna be how I want it. And 2. Drastic measures must be taken.

I decided in order to fully channel Miss Underwood's bouncy short curls I needed a CU playlist, some pinot grigio, and a plethora of hairspray and curling utensils STAT. Luckily, I had all the above on hand. ;)

I locked myself in the bathroom for a good while, and this is the end result.

I give you, LouLou gone short.

{clearly I had WAY too much fun by myself}

I think it is kinda fun, and I think I will debut it for a party I have this weekend. Now what I will be wearing, is a whole nother question, but I least I have the hair figured out! Perhaps with some cute accessory. Oh the decisions! ;) haha

If you want to know how I did this, move your little mouse over to the left and click on the LouLou hair button. There are links to posts on all things hair related. I did the exact.same.thing that I do when my hair is longer. Literally just curled and poofed. Voila. Watch the video if you need explanation. And please be warned, video is out of control with the peanut gallery commentary.

Also, if you want to know the real secret behind this short curly hair look, watch the following video. And yes I am aware that something is WAY WHACK with the video for the first 15 seconds, bear with it, it returns to normal. Who knows what happened. I sure don't .

Over and out.

{ps. nail color is essie french affair, for those of you who shall ask! :)}

One Week!

One Week from today I will be in Florida! YAYY! About darn time. LouLou needs a vacay STAT. The fam and I still do family vacay ever year (I know, I know, STILL) and I love it. This year Lil' LouLou's boyfriend is coming with.

{Sidenote: How cute are they? Don't they just make you sick?}

Should be super fun! They are actually in Vegas this week with his family, and will go straight to Florida with us! Lucky bish.

Baby Lou and I (seen below as a kangaroo) will probably stick together and patrol the beach in search of bud light lime and underage boys.

I KID. I kid. ;)

We are gonna tone it down a notch this year on family vacay. Last year we got grounded if you will, HA! We were a little wild. My dad turned to my mom at one point said "I'm not sure when it happened, but we went from Blues Clues to Booze Cruise" I mean seriously mom and dad, what did you expect taking three 20 something girls on a CRUISE for a week. We ran those night clubs ;)

So this year I plan on relaxing, and reading this book...

while lounging in some of my new VS swimsuits,

with a skinny girl 'rita in hand.

That's all for today ;)

I have made a decision.

And it's a big one.

So you know how I wear fake hair, like 99% of the time? Well I do. If you need a refresher on this go over to the left side of my page and click on the PLL hair button...

secrets.spilled.

Well recently I have just been getting annoyed with the upkeep. I love having long locks, but surprisingly my hair has gotten awfully long on it's own while I've been masquerading around as a long haired vixen.

hmm.... anyways, so I realized that lo and behold my hair is almost exactly the length Carrie's is when she wears it short. GASP. SHOCK. ;)

So I have decided to master her short lock looks. That is my plan for this weekend anyways. I'll let you know my findings. Here is my inspiration.

I realize I might be one step away from hopin' aboard the crazy train, and I am ok with it.

I think I got eerily close about a year and a half ago before I discovered 'le weave' and my hair was SUPAH short.

maybe?

No?

I don't know, who am I kidding I have had two glasses of wine. (clearly I am writing this thursday night)

Don't fret my friends, the weave will not be gone for good, I just want to be able to embrace my natural baby hair from time to time. I've noticed it freaks guys out to see you taking out your hair extensions. And unfortunately I have left pieces of my weave in unwarranted locales, talk about an awkward phone call.

We'll see how it goes kids. It may be an epic #FAIL. I'll be sure to video tape. With wine.

New to Blogging?

Hey girls! Thursday, woo hoo! What a week... I swear I have napped every night after work {I iz lame}

Anyways, I have noticed a trend recently of girls asking me about how I started blogging, how to be successful etc. and unfortunately I don't have all the answers. I literally started with zero people reading, and it was my therapy. I wrote to myself. HA! I am so humbled everyday by the sweet emails and comments I get, it is so surreal. I get so much out of blogging, I absolutely love it. And as it turns out, for some strange reason, you all read it! haha. Couldn't tell you why, perhaps it is so you feel a leeetle better about your life, since mine is usually in shambles. HA! So, I don't have the answers, BUT luckily for you, I have a bloggy friend Katie who wrote a fabulous guest post about starting to blog, and I thought it would be helpful for those of you who have been asking, and maybe those of you silently asking out there!

For the full post by Katie click here {it's a really sweet, fantastic post, Katie you just melted my heart!}

Here are the great points (so great that I wanted to share) that Miss Katie made about getting connected:

-----

#1. Be yourself when you write!

Don't just write about what you THINK others will want to read because people will see right through you. I've found that I can relate the most with people who write similar to how they would talk in real life...if that makes sense. It may take a while for you to learn to write like this, but that's OK.

-Always remember your main purpose for making your blog in the first place....be true to yourself.

#2. Just keep writing.

-When you first start out, readers want to get to know you more so it helps if you post regularly. It will not only help get your blog out there, but it will help you feel more comfortable with posting.

#3. Don't be afraid to comment on blogs that you love to read or that inspire you.

-Is there a blog out there that you just LOVE to read everyday? TELL THEM and follow it. That is how relationships and friendships are formed...don't be shy!! The more consistent you are with commenting, the more they will understand how much you enjoy their blog and will visit yours. :)

#4. Certain bloggers have what they call "link-up's" that you can participate in....PARTICIPATE if the topic intrigues you.

-This is a great way to expand your readers because other bloggers will link up and be able to read your post from the link-up. You should also visit other people's blogs that link-up and comment letting them know that you found them through the link-up!

#5. THIS MAY BE THE MOST IMPORTANT PIECE OF ADVICE I HAVE LEARNED: Make sure on your Blogger profile that you have your EMAIL ADDRESS added. If you only have your web page added, you will NOT be able to receive any emails back from people who you have commented on their blog.

-When I first started blogging, I would comment on people's blogs and not understand why I would never get a response. Do they hate me?!?! is what I thought. No, THIS was the reason. It's so easy to change and will really help you connect with other bloggers!

-----

See? Doesn't she have the smartz? PLL back now...

I seriously encourage anyone who has an inkling of wanting to start a blog to do it! There is a niche for everyone out there, you just gotta be yourself and find it! OK now I am sounding like a Hallmark card...but seriously- I had NO idea how much a part of my life this silly little blog I started would become.

Hope this helped someone out there! I just thought it was fantastic!

For you non-bloggers, just readers: sorry for the dry post, maybe you should start a blog? ;)

Leah & Co. do Chicago!

We all survived Leah's bachelorette party, but just barely! Leah had an adorable little "Bride & Co." theme a la the lovely Tiffany & Co. ;)

About 20 of us head to Chi-town last Thursday night for three days together in the big city. We spent most of our time having cocktails at the beach, showering (you try getting 20's girl ready quickly...) and having way too much fun at night.

Friday was Sara's birthday, yay! Happy Birthday Miss Sara!

After skinny girl blackberry 'ritas at lunch, we walked what felt like 10 miles to Castaways. Let's just say someone was itching for a cocktail by the time we arrived ;) we spent the rest of the day on the beach.

That night we had Leah Bear's lingerie shower. So cute. So fun! However I was still poofing friends hair  in the bathroom so I would have to poke my head in the room every time a gift was opened, ha!

After presents the MOH surprised us all with a trolley for the night, SO much fun.  Of course we stopped at different locations, but it was a super fun rollin' dance party ;)

The next day, after some power aide's, advil... and perhaps another round of blackberry skinny girls, we headed back to the beach for round two. This time in a cab ;)

Back out that night, and Y'all... I wore a ROMPER. I was so scared of it at first but I loved it! Although it did cause some bathroom anxiety as it took friends (yes plural) to help me get in and out of that thing, HA!

Oh how I love my girls trips! I am just now feeling back to normal, and I still need a nap! I am getting too old for this ;) but hey, it's what we do!

Leah, had so much fun with you! Love you so much sweet girl!!

xoxo
