It's almost here!

Carrie Underwood’s fourth album Blown Away hits stores May 1st… eeek!!!

Girl has done it again with some killer new tracks. The album is definitely different, there are some darker songs, and I find myself missing her big power ballad. But all in all, I love it.

Granted it doesn’t come out until Tuesday, but luckily you can stream it from itunes here ;)

See, this has been my activity the past couple of days...

 My immediate favorites are:

Blown Away
Two Black Cadillac’s- LOVE. So powerful!
See you Again
Forever Changed
One Way Ticket –gonna be my poolside summer jam!
Good in Goodbye-obsessed.

Good in Goodbye. Can we just discuss how close this song hits home for me? I get chill bumps evertyime I hear it. I am positive it will touch others of you as well...

This song says it better than I ever could, and of course makes me think of where I am now, and where I was two years ago.  It really all does work out the way it is suppose to. You just have to trust Him, and have faith.

Sing it Carrie. ;) Can't wait for the actual cd, and yes I will be buying the cd. It's my thing.

TGIF ladies, it's off to FAMILY FEUD for this chic on Monday!

Current obsessions.

ok, let's discuss. Several new obsessions:

1. Vitamin Water. I have recently become obsessed, I mean obsessed with Vitamin Water.

And no, not because this chic reps it.

But seriously, that is not why. I am trying to cut out the diet coke, so I have been trying to drink water. But water sometimes bores me. Insert Vitamin Water ZERO. No calories, lots of vitamins, BOOM. My kinda cocktail.

My favorite it the VWZ Glow. SO good, it is a mix of strawberry-guanabana (what?) and is quite the tasty treat.

Bonus? has somethin' in it good for your skin!

Here are some of my other favorites: The Drive one (orange and berry) also has caffeine for that morning little kick.
Seriously, so good. You will hardly find me without one in my hand. They are 10 for $10 at Krogers, and I use to spend that on McD's DC's anyway, so really it is win win.

2. This pink trench coat from Vineyard Vines.

I got it as a gift last year, but didn't wear it until this spring. LOVE it! Makes me feel all
'Woods, comma Elle!'

{sidenote: not sure if it is still avail in stores, but you can try googling, it's the pink Tortuga trench!}

3. My cousin's engagement pics.

How cute is she? I mean really, stop it Ginny. ;)

4. This baby pug.

My friend Lauren-Ashley just bought this pretty pretty princess. She will be joining us Memorial Day weekend, Sadie is so excited to make her acquaintance.

5. This swimsuit, I will have one please.

And her body. I'll take that too.

;)  xoxo

Darphin Skincare pamper-time, ladies!

Hi ladies! I am SO excited to write about Darphin Skincare. Darphin used to be one of my advertisers when I worked for Pulse magazine -- but that is neither here nor there, just a small world! I always wanted to try the products and finally got to do a little PinkLouLou skin pampering!

Darphin started in 1958 and revolutionized the aesthetic skin care industry by opening one of the first institutes in Paris for complete body, hair, and skin care solutions custom-tailored to specific, personal needs. The whole Darphin experience is one that suggests luxury, privilege and pleasure. The products that they picked out for my skin are the ideal resource cream, the arovita c serum, and the anti-fatigue smoothing eye gel.

Let’s break down each product:

Arovita C Line response firming serum

Your skin deserves its expert serum!
Arovita C helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and firms and re-energizes your skin’s youthful glow. Key ingredients include caffeine, kombucha, ligopeptide and vitamins C and E, just to name a few!

This product is ideal for someone experiencing the first signs of aging (aka, MOI!) and promises a renewed natural radiance, soothed and softer revived skin and a renewed feeling of comfort and suppleness.

I LOVE the way it smells. HEAVENLY! And I love the way it feels on my skin. I like to use it at night for a more intense treatment.

Ideal Resource Smoothing Retexturizing Radiance Cream

It’s a privileged moment between you and your skin!
Ideal Resource is a skin restoration cream scented with white flowers that provides a unique skin care experience. This combination cream helps to restore the skin’s natural collagen, revive complexion luminosity and reactivate natural cell renewal.

I use this product at night mainly, and I swear it feels like I just got a facial! It is extremely soft and the scent is to die for. I feel so pampered after using it, like I am really doing something fantastic for my skin.

Anti-Fatigue Smoothing Eye Gel

This product is light like a gel, and gentle like a cream. Scented with green tea, citrus and violet, and enhanced with caffeine for smooth, fresh eyes, this product is perfect for those who'd like to renew their eye area. In fact it's ideal for those experiencing fatigue, dullness and fine lines around their eyes. And it has nourishing walnut extract combined with Vitamin C acid spheres.

Ummm, hi. I look at a computer screen all day. Of course I have eye fatigue. And sometimes I am up too late. ;) This little baby has really helped with eye puffiness.

I can honestly say I LOVE every one of these products. The whole Darphin principle is based on total well-being, providing effective skincare and enhancing the pleasure principle. When you feel good, you LOOK good, people!

Is there a specific Darphin product you would like to try? Leave me a comment telling me which one you would like and why and you will be entered for a chance to win a $100 worth of Darphin products!
WOO HOO! Now who doesn’t need a little pampering ladies?! ;)

Plus, Darphin has a special offer (one of their best!) just for readers of this post: Get a free Age Defying Dermabrasion Deluxe Sample, Dark Circles and De-puffing Eye Serum Deluxe Sample and Spa Headband with any order at Darphin.com through 5/31/12. Use code BLOGGER at checkout.

Who's Your Doppelganger?!

A Mommas Desires and Pacifiers

Well girls, I saw that Miss Raven was doing a celebrity look alike link up, and I just had to join in. I had WAY too much fun on these celebrity look alike websites.

I played around on this website first, and about fell out of my chair when this popped up.

YES PLEASE. I will take it ;)
Then I switched it to a pic of me AND Carrie (you know, cause that's normal) and I cracked up when it said she looked like Debra Messing, and I like the lovely Jsimps, PRE-preggo. ;)

JSimps again?? I have never thought I look like her... maybe its the blonde hair or something.

Speaking of Jessica Simpson, I think my cousin Ginny is a dead ringer for the girl. She even dressed up as her for Halloween once.

But I also see a little Katherine Heigl in Ginny as well... thoughts?

Well I see it ;) You must meet her in person. She is striking, that Gin Gin!

So then I played around on this website. I used the pic of me and Carrie again, cause it is kinda funny to see who they think an actual celebrity looks like. It clearly did not match her with herself!

So who do you look like? I most often get told I look like you know who, to which I generally kiss the person. I did ask once "why do you think I look like Carrie" and the person responded "I think it is your thin lips and eyebrows"

hmm. thanks?

I'll still take it ;) I have also been told Kristin Chenoweth on occasion, which I just don't see.

And when the bachelor was on, people who didn't know me that well would say Emily Maynard, which I SOOOO don't see. She is gorgeous don't get me wrong, but I don't think we look alike. Again, maybe the blonde hair did it?

And last but not least, in high school I would sometimes get Britney Spears. I don't know kids...

I am dying to know who everyone else gets told they look like! SO fun! Hop on over to Raven's blog and link up so we can all see!

Raven I know you are jealous of that one time a 12 year old boy told me I looked like Brit Brit. ;)

Scentsy: My newest obsession.

I love candles.

I love my room smelling amazing.

I also like not starting house fires, so therefore, my new Scentsy warmer is my new best friend. It warms scented little bars that melt and smell your house up just divinely, with no risk of flames!

I mean, could there BE a more perfect warmer for yours truly? I think not. I chose to get the pink tiara medium warmer.

I also started with the scent "lucky in love" because I heard it smelled just like love spell from Victoria's Secret. And it DOES. I am seriously obsessed y'all.

My little pink goodness lives right beside my bed and also serves as the perfect night light for Miss Sadie Belle. It smells up my room in no time. I am thinking about getting a second one for the living room too!

Maybe this one

Or this one

Or this gorgey romantic one...

I am excited to try more scents as well. At only $5 a piece, you can get TONS for the price of one candle. This is just smart people. Each bar comes with about 8 individual little bars inside.

To get your own warmer and Scentsy bars, click here

I also got this dryer disk from Scentsy's line called layers. I threw it in with my sheets and it was fantastic. It scented everything in my dryer way more than a dryer sheet normally does. I loved the coconut lemongrass scent, and cannot wait to try the other one offered, which smells of vanilla and sandalwood!
You know I just love sharing my newest favorite products with you girls. Definitely check out the Scentsy line from my friend Samantha! If you email her at samantha.fryer27@gmail.com she has a special offer for you! ;)

Weekend Recap: Wedding Showers

Hello lovely ladies, to say I am exhausted would be an understatement.

I had a wedding shower Friday, and Saturday night, so I am one sleepy girl.

I was quiet the hair stylist this weekend, I did Brooke, Ashley, and Chrissy's hair! Oh and mine of course. ha ;)

It really is so simple to create one of these looks. I just curl before hand, then put in a side ponytail, pin up pieces to cover ponytail holder, and then place the front pieces wherever they tell me they want to go, I just feel it, and do it. Wish I could explain more!

Friday night I wore this little red number from KOHLS! I kid you not.

And Saturday I borrowed my friend Kylee's dress, from LaRoque. It is pink seersucker, although you can't easily tell from the pics.

Ash, I had SO much fun celebrating with you! You looked absolutely perfect!

Next weekend I have THREE showers. Must get dresses in order... after I nap. ;)

Sometimes, less is more, right?

Ello lovelies. ;)

So listen, I love makeup. We know this. But it's warmer weather outside, and for some reason that always makes me want to wear less. Also I have recently been having a transference issue?? I have been getting makeup on EVERYTHING, and I mean everything. ;)

So this is what I tried yesterday.

1. my Olay tinted moisturizer (review here!)
2. Too Faced concealer (under the eyes)
3. Makeup Forever pressed powder (all over with large powder brush)

Add a little Nars orgasm, and that is all I did on the face. Then I used #4 above, (Mac paint pot in bare study) on my eyes as a primer/base (I have found I LOVE this instead of one of those expensive primers, makes my eye makeup stay all day, and it has a wonderful shimmer to it.

I got the Naked 2 palette a little while ago, and honestly I preferred the first one. But I have been using the 2nd one more and more. I use the following colors daily for my work/casual look.

I use my paint pot all over, then booty call to highlight the brow bone, half baked on the lid, tease on the outer lid and crease, then busted to define lash line and crease. Line with brown liner, add mascara, and out you go.

Voila. My less is more, sans foundation look.

Do you all opt for no foundation when you can get away with it? I just think my skin needs to BREATHE sometimes! Plus I don't get makeup all over my clothes, or anyone else's!

Easter dresses: Then and now.

Sooo, the fam and I were holding Family Feud practice yesterday (yes I am serious) when we got distracted by some old photo albums.

I give you, Easter, circa 1992.

Ohmaword y'all.

please note our large bows and excessive use of florals. Mom I will tell you, I am proud that you gave us headgear to match our dresses, although I feel fairly confidant that was Aunt Debbie's doing.

And then there was '93... I remember LOVING this dress. Check that sweet neckline... so grown up. My cousin Lucy also makes a cameo in this pic, sporting a fancy hat.

But then it hit me, not much has changed friends. Easter this year, my dress is almost the same colors as the glorious 1993 one! And who says styles don't come back around?

{dress from Dillards and is my roomie Chrissy's}:)

Ok it is not identical, but you get the jest. Also, I tried to steal this precious baby above at church. HOW cute is she??

Here is the sissy pic, Easter 2012. Hannah, we probably should have put you on my hip for this pic? I mean it does appear growing up that I thought you were my child, no?

(yes my parents dog is named Kevin)

So, in conclusion, Easter dresses are DEFINITELY cuter now. I mean look at the babies. (ps they are Kelly's Kids dresses from Maegan!) Is this not the cutest picture you have ever SEEN!?!

I just adore them. Melt my heart.

I hope everyone's Easter was just as lovely as ours was!
