Ashley's Bachelorette Recap

I got this text last night, (ahem BB and Caroline) and figured I needed to update y'all.

To say I have been busy would be an understatement. I got back from Florida on Monday, and went straight to full time single momma for the week. The babies and I have been playing with puppies, getting pedicures, and fighting over movies and the last piece of my Panera. Standard. ;)

OK so back to update: Ashley's bachelorette party. Amazing. Y'all know we go big or go bigger for bachelorette parties, and this one was no different, and simply fantastic. 13 of us spent the long weekend in Florida at Ashley's home, and SURPRISE lucky you, I made a little video to capture our weekend.

I seriously love my friends so much. I've said it before, but I am SO lucky to have the girlfriends that I have, and I cherish every minute that we get together!! We had girls flying in from all over to celebrate with our little bridey, and it is SO SO cool how close we have all remained six years out of college!

Listen up you college babies- you cherish those friendships and you hold on to them! These are your friends for LIFE! I have no doubt we will still be doing this in 20 years. ;)

Hope you like!

Ashley, I cannot wait to do it all again and celebrate this weekend with you when you get MARRIED!! You are going to be absolutely STUNNING my dear. Scott, if you are reading (which I doubt you are!) I am so glad you found, and fell in love with  my sweet friend Ashley!! You two deserve so much happiness!

Cheers to wedding weekend!!!!

Xoxo

PLL flying south!

That's right. I am pullin' a Kristen Wiig a la bridesmaids and am ready get my beach bachey party ON!

Tomorrow I leave for FLORIDA, with about 12 lovely ladies for four days! {excited face} You see my little Ashley friend is getting married next weekend, so we gotta celebrate in style this weekend at her home in FL. WOOP WOOP!

This trailer has been getting me so pumped, not sure why, cause they never even make it to the Bachelorette party, but I guess I just love the movie.

If I were to be a character in Bridesmaids, I would totally wanna be this girl

Cracks. me. up. I mean she's just trying to cut the tags off her new tube top...

Anyway... I am so excited to be on the beach with my girlfriends. You can bet your life savings I will be having a mimosa when you are on your way to work tomorrow morning OOOOH oooooh!!! (baby momma voice)

So sit tight while I am gone, I assure you some great stories upon my return.

xoxo

The side messy bun thingy… again.

Ok, so we have talked about this before, y'all know I love some day-two-messy-bun hair. Well here is a video I filmed forever ago with my entourage, but just recently edited for ya. I obvi need to work on my tutorial skills, for example actually showing you what I am doing haha. But hey, it is semi entertaining none the less, thanks to my co-stars.

Here is the video, and instructions are written out below :) ENJOY! {ps look for Sadie!}

It's simple ladies: (standard products I use here)
  1. Tease hair for the poof.
  2. Smooth poof and pull into pony tail. (Don't pull all the way through, but kinda loop it around … ok if you don't understand what I mean just watch this short clip again. It shows ya)
  3. Once hair is tied up, use bobby pins to pin hair to cover rubber band. The key here is messy girls, it is not suppose to be perfect, so just pin hairs where they look good. I generally tend to think the bigger the better.
  4. Fix front pieces. Sometimes I pin back, twist and pin back, side swoop it, you get the idea, just whatever you are feeling. You can also do little braids or whatever. Lots of different variations here, get creative. I also like to stick flowers, or cute little pins back by the bun, or up front near my bangs. Just go for it chics!
  5. Spray spray spray! Tresemme is your best friend.
I promise you, no one will even KNOW you didn't wash your hair before work ;)

{extensions, what? oh girl. click HERE}

The messy side thingamajig is also super versatile, I mean you can easily go from pool… to a wedding!

Swear. See. ;)

And for this look here, that I showed you a sneak peek of the other day...

I just had day two hair, brushed it straight back loosely, spraying with hair spray to get that piecey, messy look, and then did my messy side bun as I normally do. The key here is loose, and let your hair fall how it wants to. It's an effortlessly chic look if I do say so myself. ;) and it seriously took me, about a minute. You can do it- trust.

Feel free to email me if you have questions, but hopefully I helped some?! This will quickly become  your go to, day two, hair do, promise!

Blown Away: Billboards 2012

Well Mrs. Fisher has been all over the place recently promoting her new album Blown Away, and in true Carrie fashion, she rocked her performance of the title track at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night.

Girlfriend, you nailed it. {in case you missed it}

She was straight up channeling a Disney princess on the red carpet. I thought her hair looked spot on, and I appreciated that her makeup was more of her signature look, rather than whatever it was a few weeks ago on DWTS.

Lovebirds ;)

Also Sunday night, Oprah featured Carrie and Mike on her show Next Chapter. It was so cool to get to see inside her home and life, since she is usually so private.

I love that she does her own laundry, because I totally understand that. I will slice you if you try and do my laundry. Too damn picky ;)

Also this part was cute, Mike and Carrie talking about their first kiss. Everyone all at once now... AAWWW. haha ;)

That's all I got on TeamUnderwood right now. ALTHOUGH, here is a sneak peek at a tutorial I am working on for you chics, inspired by Country's reigning princess herself.

xoxo over and out.

My favorite lashes!

I think it is no secret that I am constantly on the hunt to have gorgeous peepers like this gal.

I mean those lashes. gorgeous!

So as a bloggy friend, I feel it is my duty to report to you my fantastic finds. I am a huge advocate for dark eyes, and false lashes. Go big or go home I say. I wear them all the time. Weddings, Derby, girls night out, you name it.

My absolute favorite that I have found are by Smoke & Mirrors (wearing smoke & mirrors heart, and nashville above). I got turned on to the brand sometime last year when someone showed me a couple articles that cited Carrie wearing them, so of course, I had to immediately order.

Well yesterday I made another order {lots of events coming up} and thought I would share with you lovelies!

coming my way are ...

I LOVE these lashes. I would have to say the heart is my favorite. Nashville close second.

But I went out on a limb and got the Hollywood lash too. It looks a little more dramatic, perhaps for more of a look like this one?

IONO kids... we will see what I think of the bigger whispy ones. I'll keep ya posted ;)

But if you are on the lookout for some super fab lashes, I would definitely try these babies. Now as far as a tutorial on putting them on, I assure you, you don't want me to do that. Surely there is someone on youtube who has a fantastic tutorial. For me it is more practice, trial and error.

OH- but I do want to say make sure you get clear glue. I picked this up at a drug store, and it works fab. Dries fast, and is totally travel friendly.

Mini to-go vino!

I have an announcement. Allow me to change your life real fast ...

So ever sense my girl DayOldNews told me about these little mini Sofia to go wines, I was on the hunt.

Unfortch- Lexington is a tad behind LA, and we no have. BOO.

BUT, imagine my surprise and delight when my eyes landed upon these babies whilst trolling the local Liquor Barn.

Umm...

They are tiny 4 ounce to go wine glasses! HELLO? Why did I not think of this. I mean we have seen mini bottles of wine before, but these are plastic and in the shape of a little glass, and you can buy them 1 by 1!

ADORABLE. Granted, if I had made these they would be way more trendy, cute, and blinged out, but I can't tell you all of my ideas, what if I am still on to something here?? ;)

No but seriously, these are the perfect accessory for moi, and you other wino's alike.

Imagine the possibilities!

I tend to stick with the pinot grigios and the chardonnays, both of which are quite good for their $2 price tag. I mean it's portability and convenience here people, don't be expecting no Santa Margherita ;)

I recommend you keep your fridge (and your purse) stocked. You can never be too prepared...

Office Updates: Lifeguard Press

Office updates!

I have said it before, but we spend more time at work than anywhere else, so we might as well make it homey right?! If you missed it, here was the little tour of my cozy office spot.

Those lovely ladies at Lifeguard Press sent me some new items to help my desk look even MORE fantastic!

I recently received this adorable notebook, which I use for my daily to-do lists, this adorable note cube, complete with pen and perfect for drafting cute notes to your co-workers, this precious picture frame (I  like it without a picture in it??) and this colorful storage bin that I use to file lots o things

1 / 2 / 3 / 4

I could spend all day on this website. And it is funny, somehow I have managed to amass half the things on there. I recommend any of these items if you have a gift giving occasion coming up. Maybe your sis just landed her first J.O.B. and you want to get her some office swag?! Definitely check out all these items and more at Lifeguard Press!

They also have the cute Lilly planner pictured above, which I swear by!

Traveling. I love it.

So I know y'all are all anxious for the FAMILY FEUD update. And trust, you will get it my friends. I took lots of pics on our game show contestant adventure, so try and focus.

First off, have I ever mentioned that I LOVE traveling? Now the actual flying, not so much. Ergo, why why I feel it absolutely necessary to partake in morning cocktails such as the mimosa, or the bloody mary.

But I love the travel process. I love packing, I love picking out a cute little casual, yet stylish airport outfit, {you know just in case you are spotted by the paparazzi ;) } I just love the excitement of it all.

But mostly I love being organized. Everything has its own little bag, it's own little spot. For example, my bras all fit so nicely in my cup case. What the hey is a cup case? Allow me to introduce:

You see it is a handy little guy that keeps all those pricey bras you buy from getting all squished and mangled in your luggage! I also like to store headbands, and hair pins/flowers that I wear in here, to keep them from getting messed up.

And it is freaking adorable. Win-win. What's that, you want one too? I thought you might... email Elizabeth at elizabethwagner22@yahoo.com to get yours!

So back to the trip... here we are the morning of our departure, just being jet-setters.

Albeit not as stylish as these broads from the cup case website...

I guess we ALL can't have our own plane ;)

Of course I forgot to put all my liquids in a zippie baggie, resulting in the contents of my purse being strewn across the terminal, and me being on the receiving end the stink eye from many obviously more savvy travelers. Whatev.

(See above, mimosa. Told ya.)

When we finally landed, we went straight for margarita's, queso, and poolside fun. Baby Lou is always the object of our entertainment, this time sporting fancy new swimmies (I mean, she IS the baby) and perfecting her running heel kick... thing. You know what I am talking about.

Love my sissies and my cuz :). Mom, love you too, sorry you were TAKING the pics! ;)

That night we went to bed early (beauty rest people) but got up at the crack o' dawn to start the beautification for TV process.

Please note Baby Lou in these pics. Hilar. She is such a little rock star.

OF COURSE we were running behind so we had to haul tail to the studio, and I was forced to fix my hair in the car. NOT kiddin'. So when you see me on TV, don't you dare judge alright, it was crunch time.

The fam :) Dad was such a great supporter. I think he definitely preferred watching the taping, rather than being up there with us!

Long day had by all, but we finally made it to dinner, and had a blast. LOVE my fam :)

After dinner, we found this hole in the wall place called the Derby Pub, and stole some shirts.

Upon our return at about 4 am, the only food we could find was the fruit basket set out for the continental breakfast bar in our hotel, which explains the picture below. Sissy was NOT wanting to share her apple...

We had an absolute blast. I can't tell you the outcome of our taping yet, so I guess you just gotta wait and see!! Maybe reality steve will have this season's spoilers? ;)

I kid, I kid.

No but seriously, I will keep you posted on the air date, and we can all have a wine and family feud viewing party, and y'all can all make fun of my first answer. It's pretty classic... HA.

xoxo, thanks for all the support, love you all!
